Driving licence and eyesight You must hold a current valid licence (either provisional or full) which must be produced on the first lesson. You must also be able to read a number plate from a distance 20.5 metres (67 feet) using your glasses if normally worn. Payments Lesson payments must be made at the beginning of each lesson. Where an intensive driving course or semi intensive course is booked a £100 deposit will be required. This is a non-refundable deposit except in exceptional circumstances, where a refund is at the discretion of the instructor. Where the instructor in unable to undertake the course for whatever reason then a full refund will be given. The balance of the course must be paid on the day the course starts. Lesson Cancellation You will need to give a minimum of 48 hours notice should you need to cancel a lesson. Any lessons cancelled within this period must be paid for in full before any further lessons will be booked. After arriving at your nominated pick up point for your lesson and there is no reply at the address we will wait 10 minutes. If you have not made contact and we are unable to reach you within this time the lesson will be abandoned but you will still be required to pay for the lesson. Use of the vehicle In the interest of yours and the public's safety, we reserve the right to withdraw the use of the training car for the driving test, if in our opinion, your driving is potentially or actually dangerous. We will advise the pupil of the appropriate time to apply for a driving test. However, the advice will be based on the pupil's progress to date. If at any stage we feel progress is not being made you will be advised to postpone the test. We will refuse to take the pupil on test if they are either not to test standard, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, in arrears with payment or for any other reason we strongly feel the test should not be taken.In the interest of road safety pupils will be expected to carry out instructions without undue argument. We will will make every effort to train you to the highest standard but can in no way be held liable for any errors you commit whilst driving and not accompanied by your Instructor either before or after a test pass. |
